I’m thinking about buying the Pearl Vision VBX 6-Piece Rock Set with the Sabian AAX Cymbal Pack?

People who have used the Vision series or the Sabian AAX series could really help me out here. I want an opinion on whether or not you think these sets are a good match and what your thoughts are about each set.

very nice kit choice! the pearl visions are actually pearl exports. the export series had its name changed to vision series a few years ago. export was the top selling drum set in the world at the time. they decided to do some upgrades to the line and in the process, gave it a new name. the visions have better wood, some nice updated hardware and lugs, and new finishes. still a very popular set and a great value.

sabian makes some top cymbals. the AAX series is a modern, bright sounding series of cymbals. these are about mid-quality when compared to the rest of the sabian lines. i would strongly suggest checking out www.midwestpercussion.com to buy your cymbals. free shipping, along with lots of new package-deals.

overall, excellent set to start off on. although the drums are considered to be beginner series, they will last you a very long time since pearl makes quality drums. im glad that you actually have a decent budget. im tired of people asking how good their no-name brand 300$ set is lol. this will be a very strong, nice setup and i dont reckon you’ll have to replace anything for years. upgrades is a different story
